What Separates me from the other Shelters is my focus is the long term I want to help the homeless get off and stay off the streets by providing transitional housing after clients is at Shelter they would have an option to stay short term which is 3 months or long term which would be 6 months both would cause for clients to go to programs to better themselves. Long term clients would be able to transition to affordable housing I want to set my clients up to be successful it is not about a check with me I have actually been homeless and I know how it made me feel it made me feel less of a person not loved and that no one cared about me at that time. I was lost and confused on why this was happening to me when one day I happen to be in my car and I was listening to the radio and the song "Return" By Dorinda Clark came on and I listen to the words and tears fell down my face because all.i can remember is her saying " Return" The lord sees you're tired and he sees that you are weary come and rest in him" that is when I decided to change my thinking to change my ways and rebuild my relationship back with Jesus Christ. So as I got myself back together I have the desire to help the homeless to help the people that are in need it is time out from just walking pass the homeless and looking at them like they are a nobody because Jesus Christ created all of us and Loves all of us and they need to know that they are TRULY LOVE.
